Thornton, Chairman of the Texas Highway Commission stated tfiat the funds for this program -are being derived from the fund established by Senate Bill 287, 51st Legislature. Mr. R. A. Bossy, District Engineer of the Texas Highway De- partment at Fort Worth has stated that the foll6wing farm-to-market road in this area is scheduled for work under this program: Hood County From end of F.

M. Road 51 Southwest to F. M. Road 201, a distance of approximately miles. Mr.

Thornton stated that this year the Commission has author-, ised the development of some area -roads which will serve the purpose of service to the adjacent land as well as aiding in tha development of the entice area of the state. It was announced that work wi3 begin on these projects just as soon as final planning is completed and right-of-way secured. Senior Resi dent Engineer A. will ba in charge of the work in this area. Bank, Post Office, -Businesses to Close Labor Day The First National Bank, the post office and- many business houses in Granbury will be closed Monday.
