M. The purpose of the meeting was to bring about a closer working relationship of agriculture agencies in Hood County. Through this association, it is hoped that all agencies working closer together will render a greater service to farm people.

Officers elected were as follows: President John Q. Galloway, Coun-; ty Agent; vice-president, Arthur Bell, Soil Conservation Service; secretary-treasurer, William E. Harper, county supervisor, Farmers Home Administration. The association voted to meet the 3rd Tuesday night of each on month at 7:45 in the P.M.A. office in Granbury, Texas.

Miss Myers Engagement Announced by Parents Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Myers, of Granbury have announced the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn, to Tommy V.

Gillen, son of Mrs. C. L. Summers of bury. The wedding will take place May 28th in the First Methodist Church.

Miss Dorothy Carlson of" Fort Worth will be maid of honor and Mr. Marion Gaston of Granbury will be best man. The brideelect and her fiance graduated from Granbury High School and both attended North Texas State College. Mr. Gillen was graduated from there in 1948.
