The information has been forwarded to the Granbury Police Department, he said. Jaquess stated the information involved the man officers consider a suspect in the case. Granbury police are still actively pursuing leads In the Stembridge murder, said Jaquess. Investigators are using the new DNA testing procedure on blood and hair samples obtained in the murder investigation, he stated. If the tests are successful, officers could match the samples with that of a suspect, stated Jaquess.

CERTIFIED 66 Dorothy Sanders Bonnie Wendt Barber In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 14, 1987, Barber was abducted during a robbery at the Texaco convenience store on South Morgan Street. Her abductors then took her to a secluded boat ramp at Comanche Cove, where her head was held under water until she drowned. Barber's body was later found floating in the water by a fisherman launching his boat, investigators stated. Fifty-nine dollars were taken in the robbery, said Granbury police. Barber had only worked at the store a week, they stated.

No one has been charged in Barber's murder, but police have a strong suspect in the case, said Granbury Police Chief Randy Jaquess. Holly Palmer, 23, was found brutally beaten to death at the GreyhoundTrail ways bus station on West Pearl Street where she worked as a clerk. She was apparently struck several times with an unidentified blunt instrument and then with a concrete cinder block. Investigation later determined that money was missing from the station, but officers have never been able to determine if the money was taken hen Palmer was killed.

Highway 377 East. By the lime it was over, two separate accidents had occurred, damaging six vehicles and injuring six people. Highway patrol trooper John Batcman gave an account of Wednesday's accident. In the first accident, Rolling Acres Mobile Home Park resident Bobby Marlowe, 36, was eastbound in a 1984 Mazda pick-up on U.S. Highway 377 East near Gifford TV and Electronics.

Marlowe was in the inside lane, but was trying to pull in the outside lane to make a right turn off 377. However, other cars wouldn't yield to Marlowe and he began slowing down trying to switch to the outside lane so he wouldn't miss his turn. Fort Worth resident Albert Redlow, 56, who was behind Marlowe in a 1981 Olds Delta 88, also began slowing down, as did a following 1989 Chevrolet pick-up driven by Jason Everctte, 17, of OPTICIANS Dr. Leslie E.
