19, 2004, in Weatherford. It is suggested that memorials be to the Susan G. Koman Foun- dation. She was born March 22, 1943, in Brookfield, N. Y.

She and Rex Wall were married June 20, 1993, in Las Vegas. Survivors are daughters, Theresa Martin and Vicki Holt of Granbury, Linda Corbell of Fort Worth; son James Dolan, of Granbury; four grandsons; mother, Lovina Clum; sister and brothers, all of New York, Carol Jean Corey, George Clum and Robert Clum; son-in-law, Tony Martin of Granbury; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury. Phyllis Mae Thomson Graveside services for Phyllis Mae Thomson, 70, of Granbury, are set for 11 a.m. today (Thursday), Sept.

23, 2004, at the Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. The former resident of El Paso and Port Arthur died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, i in Glen Rose. She and her husband moved to Granbury three years ago. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aldersgate Trinity United Methodist Church, 3600 Memorial Port Arthur, Texas 77640.

She was born Jan. 21, 1934, in Fabens. She and husband, Bill, were married 51 years, most of those in El Paso. Survivors are her husband, Bill Thomson of Granbury; daughter, Jennifer K. Thomson of Jacksonville; sons, Bill Thomson III and wife, Virginia, of Grand Prairie, Lee B.

Thomson and wife, Jana, of Prosper, Paul D. Thomson and wife, Joni, of Waldorf, five grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Betty Lambert of El Paso. Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury was in charge of arrangements. Melvin C. Vaught Final rites for Melvin C.

Vaught, 62, of Granbury, were held Tues- day, Sept. 2004, in Wiley neral Home Granbury. Burial was Holly Hills morial Park. The son Raymon 21, Fuin in Meof and Gladys Dinnin Vaught was born April 30, 1942, in Wichita Falls. He died Saturday, Sept.

18, 2004, in Fort Worth. He married Alice Marrs, Dec. 28, 1967, in Fort Worth. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Antonio. Survivors are his wife, Alice Vaught of Granbury; daughter, Vitginia L.

Gregg and husband, Rickey, of Charleston, S.C.; two aunts and several cousins. Funeral arrangements were by Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury. Lanitta 'Nita' McFadden Honoring departed friends and loved ones short retirement Jim became a school bus driver for the Granbury I.S.D. and was affectionately known as "Mr. Jim" by the children, this was a job that gave him great joy.

One of Jim's wishes was not to send flowers but send donations to the American Cancer Society or Tomlinson Hospice, 3002 E. Hwy 377, Granbury, Texas 76049. Survivors by his wife of 44 years, Louise Crowe of Granbury; sons, Robert Crowe of Granbury, Scott Crowe and wife Tricia of Frazier Park, two granddaughters, Katie and Rebecca Crowe of Frazier Park, CA; brother-in-law and wife Jaap and Elly Kievit of The Netherlands; two nieces, Gwen and Kim Kievit of The Netherlands; sister-in-law and husband, Lya and Dick Brower of The Netherlands; nephew, Eric van Dorp of The Netherlands; niece and husband, Monique and John Knapp of Owasso, OK; three great-nephews, Zack, Andy and Roy Knapp of Owasso, OK; cousin and wife Jim and Susan Siegel of Salisbury, MD; many friends and neighbors. We were blessed to have him in our lives and he will be missed greatly. Velma Loyd OBITUARIES Funeral services for Velma Loyd, 85, of Granbury were held Wednesday, Sept.

22, 2004, in Greenwood Chapel in Fort Worth. The businesswoman died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004. She was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Chalk Mountain.

Velma had owned five dress shops and four antique shops. Survivors are her husband, Sammie Loyd; son, Bob Dunson and wife, Linda; daughter, Sharon Dunson and nine grandchildren. Jerry Wyatt Jr. Funeral services for Jerry Wyatt Jr. 67, of Strawn were held Wednesday, Sept.

22, 2004, at Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel. The telephone company engineer died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Strawn. He was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Tahoka to Andrew Jourdan.

Wyatt and Ruth Deason Wyatt. He is survived by two sons, Jay W. Wyatt of Lubbock and Britt Wyatt of Hurst; a daughter, Elisha Perez of Abernathy and seven grandchildren. James Austin Hackney Funeral services for James Aus- tin Hackney, 77, of Granbury are scheduled at noon today (Thursday), Sept.

23, 2004, in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. The retired Fort Worth police officer, passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, in Granbury. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park. It is requested that memorials be to the Police Benevolent Fund.

James was born May 15, 1927, in Fort Worth to the late Austin and Mary Jane Carney-Hackney. He was a Lutheran and enjoyed eating, gradening and fishing. James graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth. At age 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He served four years in China in World War II. He served in the Fort Worth Police Department for 30 years where he was known as "C.B.Cowtown Bear." His parents and sister, Mary Evans James preceded him in death. He will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him. Survivors are his wife, Bettye Hackney of Granbury, sons, James Michael Hackney and wife, Kathy, of Springtown, Daniel Howard Hackney and wife, Marile, of Nacogdoches; daughters, Glenda McCormick of Fort Worth, Katy Zeagler Scott and husband, Tony. of Cleveland; grandchildren, Michael, Randi, Tony, Amanda, Samantha, Rebecca, David: greatgrandchildren, Amber, Dallas, David; brother, William E.

Hackney; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. William H. Kinder Funeral services for William Hoy Kinder, 96, of Graham and father of Beth Marlow of Granbury, will be held at 10 a.m. today, (Thursday) Sept. 23, 2004, in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery. The retired oil well driller died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, in Jacksboro. Other survivors are three sons, a sister, a brother, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Roger Lyle Moody Graveside services for Roger Lyle Moody, 90, of Granbury, will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday), Sept. 23, 2004, in the Holly Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum. The retired Brown and Root employee died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, in Fort Worth.

He was born March 15, 1914, in Williamstown, Mass. He married Marion Schmutzler, Oct. 29, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wis. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp and was a member of the Blood and Fire, 7th Division Army Group.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Marion Moody of Granbury; son, John P. Moody and wife, Katherine Ann, of Conroe; daughters, Marcia Zunker and husband, Larry, of Universal City, Linda Lehr and husband, Tom, of Sacramento, Ann Sheridan and husband, Robert, of Duxbury, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury was in charge of arrangements. James "Jim" Pierson Crowe Memorial service for James "Jim" Pierson Crowe, 67, of Granbury, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept.

25, 2004, at Martin's Funeral Home Chapel. Jim passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, after a brief illness. He was born in Peking, China, April 24, 1937, while his father was stationed there as a Marine. Jim was a Marine and Air Force veteran for 12 years, was medically discharged in 1966 and became a computer for 25 years.

After that, he started his own travel agency (13 years) until his retirement.
