Kiwanis Benefit Auction The Kiwanis auction to benefit youth and community service projects will be held Satruday, Oct. 15 in Fort Worth at the Holiday Inn on North Hwy. 35 and Meacham Road. Tickets are $5 each and are good toward the purchase of one live auction tiem.

The doors open p.m. A silent auction is at 6 p.m. and the live auction begins at 7 p.m. Refreshments and snacks will be available. Tickets can be purchased from local Kiwanis members.

Indian Harbor Ladies' Club The Indian Harbor Ladies' Club will meet today (Wednesday) at 1:30 p.m. at the clubhouse. Nancy Houck, interior decorator, will talk about the latest decorating ideas. 4 in Fort Worth. Services were held Thursday, Oct. 6 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he was a member. Rev. Paul Miller and Rev.

V.A. Trussell officiated. Interment was in Memory Garden in Parker County. Grooms was born Dec. 13, 1911 in Hood County and moved to Parker County in 1950.

He was a retired from the real estate business and from General Dynamics. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lone Star Lodge He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Grooms of Weatherford; one daughter, Charlene Floyd of Spanish Trail Ladies Club The Spanish Trail Ladies Club will meet Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. at the home of Avis Wyatt, 101 Boca Vista Drive. Those attending are asked to bring a small salad.

Lunch will be served to seniors age 60 and over at the Lipan Community Center beginning at noon. The requested price is $2, but no one will be refused.

This outreach program is sponsored by the federal government through Shanley House in Granbury. Upsilon Theta Alpha Upsilon Theta will meet tomorrow (Thursday) at 7 p.m. at the home of Theda Davis, 47 Royal Oaks. Port Ridglea East Women's Club The Port Rodglea East Women's Club has their new cookbook on sale for $8.

Apostolics schedule walk-a-thon Granbury Apostolic Church will hold a walk-a-thon on Saturday, Oct. 15 beginning at 9 a.m. Walkers are encouraged to find sponors to back them. Proceeds from the event will go toward the church's piano fund. The walk will begin from the church, located at 201 S.

8 at Dudley Hughes Funeral Home in Oak Cliff. Graveside services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Ratliff, born Oct. 21, 1916, was a former Mitchell Bend resident. He is survived by two daughters, Caleta Rober and Tena Ridinger; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
