Hood County April 3, 1993 7B Church BRIEFs LIFESTYLES 573-7066 Episcopal plans special services Saturday, April 10 at 4 p.m. The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church will hold Palm Sunday services tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Services will be held this week on Monday at 9 a.m.; Tuesday at 10 a.m.; Wednesday at 7 p.m.; Maundy Thursdays service at 7 p.m.; Good Friday services at 11:45 a.m. and 6 p.m.; Holy Saturday service at 8 p.m.; and Easter Sunday services at 8:30 a.m.

and 10:45 a.m. First Christian welcomes Jeter Joseph R. Jeter the Granville and Erline Walker professor of preaching at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University, will speak Holy Week services at First Christian Church. Services are scheduled for tomorrow at 10:45 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday services will be at 7 p.m. Prophecy told at Southside A prophecy bible conference will be held tonight and tomorrow at Southside Baptist Church with Paul Lee Tan, an adjunct professor at the Dallas Theological Seminary and leading authority on current trends and future events predicted in the bible, the featured speaker. Services will begin at 7 p.m. with 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Mr.

Bowles was born in Spur on Sept. 7, 1922 and married Rena Cowan in Clovis, N.M. on Feb. 9, 1957. He was a 1st Lt.

in the Air Force and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the First United Methodist Chuch in Granbury, the ABC Club, the Knife Fork Club, and the Boy Scouts of America. He served as a Scoutmaster for Spring. underprivileged He retired Scouts from in "Home Insurance Company in 1980. Survivors include his wife, Rena Bowles of Granbury; a son, Jerome Cowan of Humble; two daughters, Linda Clammer of Pheonix, and Neva Testa of Dallas; a sister, Cathy Henry of Van; and six grandchildren.

Services were held Friday at First United Methodist Church in Granbury with Rev. Hiram Johnson and Rev. Louis Shambeck officiating. A graveside service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock.

Fuller of Granbury. Oscar Knight Self-employed Gulf Oil dealer Oscar A. Knight, 87, a selfemployed Gulf Oil dealer, died Monday, March 29, 1993 in a Breckenridge nursing home. Services were held on Wednesday, March 31, 1993 at Morehart Mortuary with the Rev. Cecil Harper officiating.

Mr. Knight was the father of Lavada Peterson of Granbury. Ross Youngblood; most colorful, Brian Aparicio-Rascon; most unusual, Rhett Dillard; and most detailed, Chris Harwell. Trophy winners were John Hamilton, first; Ross Youngblood, second; and Austin Rice, third. Tiger Cubs winners were first place, Travis Land; second place, Kevin Jenkins; third place, Rhett Dillard.

Wolves winners were first place, Ross Youngblood; second place, Marty Mendoza; and third place, Max Rodriquez. Bears Den 5 winners were first place Austin Rice; second place, Daniel Lynn; third place, Kirt Brown. Bears Den 4 winners were first place Jon Hamilton; second place, Wayne Baker; and third place David Hoke. Den leader Greg Lynn was presented a Cub Scout Recognition award by cubmaster Darrell Ball. The award is earned by serving two or more years as a leader and attending numerous training programs.

Jesse Pemberton Retired minister Jesse Pemberton, a retired minister, died Monday, March 29, 1993 at a Keller nursing home. He was 87. Services were held Wednesday, March 31, 1993 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home in Fort Worth with burial in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Survivors include a sister, Ruby Bettes of Granbury.
