County regulations governing the size of septic tank systems went into effect in 1984. Although state regulations have rjeen in effect since 1977, the county had no enforcement ordinance until 1984.

In January 1988, new state regulations wiD require an evaluation to be done on each individual lot smaller than 12 acre. I don't have any problems with it. I hate to see more regulations, but a lot of people try to get by with too little too late.

I think it's probably a good idea to license septic tank installers." Thomas is currently developing properties in Laguna Vista, Chapparal Estates, Shady Groves and the Hflls of Granbury. Garry Luker of the Granbury Land Company stated, 'I personally feel like it would help to have some control. It would make people more responsible. He also stated he agreed that the county's proposal to require a percolation test before construction of any kind is necessary. "It's probably a good thing because a lot of septic systems are going in that are under par," stated Alan HacBey, a Granbury Hadley said would help and discourage "boot-leggers." Hadley is not sure he welcomes more regulations however.

He added that bad feelings aroused by the club's closing erupted into a man hitting one club patron and shoving another. Sheriff's deputies were then called, he stated.

McGiD also stated deputies had been called twice to disturbances at Sky Harbour facilities in the last five weeks, one of which involved a woman carrying a handgun in the pool area. He added there had been recent acts of vandalism at the pool, reporting people had thrown in speed limit signs and fence posts in the pool, along with pool furniture and human feces. He added the club itself had been vandalized on occasion. Judy Thetford stated there were occasional acts of vandalism against club property, but nothing drastic. She also said she had never had any complaints from residents concerning activities at the clubhouse and pool.

She added the board is threatening to close the club for the rest of the year. Twenty-five Sky Harbour residents opposed to the club's closing met Thursday evening to map a plan of action. "How far do you want to pursue this?" asked leader Sonny Thetford. 'AD the way, the members of the group said. "Personally, I want to see some board members replaced," stated Thetford.

"We've lived out here for 15 years and it's worked just fine until now, said another Sky Harbour resident. The nine-member board of directors of the Sky Harbor Homeowners Association has called a special meeting Saturday, Aug. 8 to deal with the issue of the club's dosing.
