OBITUARIES Honoring departed friends and loved ones 1994 at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Burial was in Mansfield Cemetery. Nemo, a George Fojtik Retired postal carrier George Fojtik of Pecan Plantation, a retired U.S. Postal Service letter carrier, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1994 at a Fort Worth hospital.

He was 64. Mr. Fojtik, a Robstown native, retired from the Air Force in 1966 as a master sergeant. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Fort Worth.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Fojtik of Granbury; two sons, Donn Fojtik and Marc Fojtik, both of Fort Worth; five daughters, Bridget Minde of Slidell, and Sherllynn Baker, Dawn Hawk, Raeanne Adams and Lori Cullison, all of Fort Worth; one brother, Jerry Fojtik of Auburndale, three sisters, Beatrice Lybarger and Mary Jane Joyner, both of Alamogordo, N.M., and Dorothy Monsarratt of Randolph, and nine grandchildren. Services are at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994) at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Fort Worth.

Interment will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorials be made to: T.K. Bruner Ranch, Route 2, Box 85C, Sunset, Texas 76270. WILEY FUNERAL HOME "Home owned and operated" GRANBURY 573-3000 Norma Jean Slyder Childcare Norma Jean Slyder of Granbury, a caretaker for special children, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1994 at Vencor Hospital in Mansfield.

She was 51. Mrs. Slyder was bornAug. 10, 1943 in Wheeling, W. Va.

and lived in Glen Rose 13 years before moving to Granbury a month ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd Slyder, in 1991. Survivors include one son, Jim Slyder of Granbury; one daughter, Lynn Slyder of Granbury; two brothers, Wilbert Lemasters of Maples, Fla. and Robert Lemasters of Tridelphia, W. and one grandchild.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 1, 1994 at Wiley's Chapel in Glen Rose with Rev. Tim Presson officiating. Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose directed. Graveside services were held in the Acton, Texas Cemetery, July 25th. Marie, was born May 2, 1915, to Chapple and Millie (McDonald) Huggins. She grew up in the Godley area. Where she attended elementary and high school. On June 21, 1933, Marie was united i in marriage to Abren A.

Winsett at Godley, Texas. On June 21, she and Abren celebrated their sixty first anniversary. Marie was member of the Acton Baptist Church and a charter member of the Elizabeth Crockett Chapter of the daughters of the American Revolution, she also served on many committees. Marie, was active in establishing the legality of what is known as the "Acton Community Square" she planned and promoted celebrations for the funds to construct the present community tabernacle. Marie was a historian she did research on the history of the community of Acton and Granbury area.

This was published in articles, history books, this information was shared with relatives and friends. Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Glen Rose. Burial was in George's Creek Cemetery in Somervell County. Alice Maas Retired seamstress Alice A. Maas of Midhaven Estates, a retired seamstress, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1994 at Granbury Villa Nursing Home.

She was 85. Mrs. Maas was born Oct. 23, 1908 in Polo, Ill. and lived there over 75 years before moving to Granbury in 1985.

Survivors include daughter, Paula Peterson of Granbury; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994 in Fairmount Cemetery in Polo, Ill. with Rev. Art Hunn officiating.

Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury was in charge of local arrangements. William "Sonny" Owen Retired farmer William "Sonny" Owen of Stephenville, a retired farmer, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1994 at Community Nursing Home in Stephenville. 1 He was 86. He was the father of Ava Baker of Granbury.

Services were Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994 at Nowlin Funeral Home Chapel in DeLeon. Burial was in DeLeon Cemetery. Nettie Mae Copeland Homemaker Nettie Mae Copeland, 92, of Abilene, a homemaker, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1994 at an Abilene hospital.

She was the sister of Eula Smith of Granbury. Services were Monday, Oct. 3, 1994 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman. Burial was in Coleman Robert Long Retired freight employee Robert Lee Long of Crowley, a retired Consolidated Freightways employee, died of cancer Friday in a White Settlement nursing home. He was 56.

He was the father of Tracy Long of Granbury. Services were Monday, Oct. 3, Memoriams and Cards of Thanks are $5 for first 25 words, 25 cents each additional word. For picture, add $10. Call 573-7066 for more information.

Survivors include, husband Abern A. Winsett, Acton, Texas, three sons. Charles D. and wife Ann of Joshua, Alfred W. Winsett and wife, Brenda of Burleson, Tx.

Ricky Winsett and wife Sandra of Venus a brother, Billie J. Huggins and wife Nell, Venus two sisters, Inez Whitehead and husband Olen of Alvarado, Tx. Mitty and husband Stanley, Indianola, Ne. and an aunt Iva (Harry) Huggins, Tolar, Tx. Twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Gwenda Emerson, a grandson, Tye Emerson, two brothers, Chapple L. Huggins James M. Huggins and a sister Lena Maye Huggins. Marie was a loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. Marie enjoyed the confidence and respect of the Acton community.
