He was 51 Mr. Bailey was born July 13, 1943 in Fort Worth and married Anita Strother July 8, 1967 in Fort Worth. He served in the Army for 10 years and was a sergeant He had lived in Granbury since 1982. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy D. Bailey.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Bailey of Granbury; son, Jeff Bailey of Granbury; daughter, Jennifer Bailey of Granbury; two brothers, Edward Bailey and Jack Bailey, both of Fort Worth; and one grandson. Graveside services were Wednesday, March 13, 1996 in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth with Ray Rice officiating. Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury was in charge of arrange-. ments. Bennett Stewart Retired engineer Bennett Jerome Stewart of Pecan Plantation, a retired civilelectrical engineer for the Department of the Air Force, died Monday, March 11, 19 in Fort Worth.

He was 73. Mr. Stewart was born July 24, 1922 in Mcintosh County, was a veteran of World War II and received a bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University. He had lived in Granbury nine yean and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Baker of Granbury; three sons, Eddie Baker of Mesquite, Mark Baker of Seattle, and Kirk Jones of Aus-tyi; three daughters, Sherri Paris of Batch Springs, Benna Myrick of Abilene and Danna Brune of Marshall; two brothers, J.D.

Baker of Little Rock, and Roy Baker of Mabelvale, 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services were Friday, March IS, 19 at Wiley's Chapel in Granbury with Rev. John Duncan officiating. Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury directed. Colton Oxford Infant Colton Dewayne Oxford was stillborn Tuesday, March 12, 1996 at Campbell Memorial Hospital in Weatherford.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janell Jackson. Survivors include his parents, Christopher and Barbara Oxford of Granbury; grandparents, CD. and Jean Oxford of Granbury, and David Jackson of Mineral Wells; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services were Friday, March 15, 19 in Acrea Cemetery in Bluff Dale with Rev. Bob Parker officiating.

Howard Baker Business owner Howard Dale Baker of Indian Harbor, owner of Mama's Donuts in Granbury and a retired road construction supervisorhighway contractor for a Houston company, died Wednesday, March 13, 1996 when his truck went into Lake Granbury while delivering doughnuts. He was 65.

Mr. Baker was born Aug. 31, 1930 in Oak Hill, Kan. and married Lela McDorman Dec. 24, 1975 in San Antonio.

He and his wife opened Mama's Donuts three years ago. A former resident of Van Horn, he had lived in Granbury since 1979 and was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Lela Dovie "Williams in Stanton in I960. He played the guitar and was a good story and joke teller. He was a member of Patillo Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dovie Herring of Midland; son, Clay Herring of Lipan'; brother, Tullie Herring of Amarillo; sister, Ruby Hendricks of Amarillo; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Thursday, March 14, 19 in Bishop Cemetery in Lipan with Rev. Wayne Ford officiating. Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury was in charge of arrangements. Verna Harris Retired teacher Verna Harris of Bluff Dale, a re-' tired teacher, died Tuesday, March 12, 19 at a Stephenville nursing home.

She was Mrs. Harris was born July 14, 1899 in Bluff Dale. Services were Thursday, March 14, 19 at Bluff Dale Baptist Church. Burial was in Glenn Cemetery in Bluff. Dale.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Bluff Dale Baptist Church, Bluff Dale Fire Department, Glenn Cemetery Association or Retired Teachers Association. John R. Wood Retired game warden John R. Wood of Granbury, a retired game warden for the Texas Department of Parks Wildlife, died Wednesday, March 13, 19 at Hood General Hospital. He was 82.

Mr. Wood was born Oct 12, 1913 in Round Rock and married Pat Crume April 17, 1943 in Fort Worth. He was a game warden in Brownwood for 43 years, taught at the Texas University training school for game wardens 10 years, and was regional director of law enforcement when he retired in 1977. After retiring, he wrote a book about his experiences as a Survivors include his wife, Sarah G. Stewart of Granbury; two sons, Philip C.

Stewart of Irving and John C. Stewart of Fort Worth; three brothers, Kenneth K. Stewart of Georgetown, Daniel Jackson Stewart of Star City, and Lee Roy Stewart Jr. of Checotah, four sisters, Elsie Rauls of Rison, Faye Storm and Clara July, both of officiating. Interment was in Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury.

21, 1929 in Hattiesburg, was an Army veteran of the Korean War, graduated from Southern Methodist University and lived in the Dallas area most of his life. He had lived in Granbury for the past three months and was a member of the Christian Science faith. Survivers include a sister, JoAn McCreary of Granbury; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Thursday, March 14, 19 at Wiley's Chapel in Granbury. Interment will be at 4 p.m.
