mote it Rosetta Jane (Mathews) Stone Rosetta Jane (Mathews) Stone, of Granbury, entered this world July 17, 1942, and went to be with her precious Savior Feb. 22, 2017. Viewing: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednes- day, March 1, 2017, Wiley Fu- neral Home, Granbury. Funeral: 11 a.m.

Thursday, March 2, 2017. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the DFW National Cemetery in Dal- las at 2:30 p.m. Her name was recognizable but her personality, laughter, smile, gentle spirit and giv- ing heart is what she will be remembered by the most. Ro- setta (mom, granny, sister, aunt and friend) loved her family unconditionally and cherished her friends. She lived life to the fullest; enjoying her karaoke, traveling with her daughter, spending time at the Senior Citizen Center, particularly her Madhatters group, shopping and so much more.

Most impor- tantly, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that this life was temporary and that internal life was what she was living for. She is now breathing free; dancing with the angels, singing her heart out and having the best celebration imaginable. On a personal all the things she accomplished in her lifetime, mom was proud of herself for having gone back to high school to receive her di- ploma in 1980 from Frostproof Junior-Senior High School, the same year her son, Bobby graduated. She held several jobs in her lifetime, retiring from Wal-Mart after faithfully serv- ing them for 20 years.

During her high school years she was a cheerleader and baton twirler, passing the tradition down to her daughter and nieces, teach- ing them as well. She enjoyed cake decorating, sewing, crocheting, and just about any craft imaginable. She could not wait to share a story and loved having people around her. She was the bell of the ball, the lyrics in a song, and the laughter at all our gatherings she was all that and more. Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband, James L.

Stone; son, Dale Stone; and mothers, Ida Bryant (bio), Bridget Buford (aunt who raised her); and her fathers, Riley W. Mathews (bio) and Jim Buford (uncle who raised her). Other family members that preceded her include her sisters, Donna Ellis, Joan Saunders, twins Rita and Freda Mathews and broth- er, Rodney Mathews. Rosetta is survived by her son, James Stone (wife, Barbara) of Cleburne, daughter, Barbara Jane Ward (husband Gary) of Arlington and daughter-in-law, Lisa Stone of Granbury. Surviv- ing grandchildren include Lance Stone, Chuck Scott, Michael Stone, Amanda Stone, Shirlene Stone, Justin Stone (wife Caty), Lindsey Stone, Sara Stone, Lind- sey Garner (husband, Johny), and Lauren Ward-Reed (hus- band Dillon), great-grand- children, Mackenzie, Macie, Mallarie, Bailey, Kaydi, Jaxson, Calleigh, Markanda, Adalynn, Noa, Kaia, Kaelie, Noah, Na- than, and Ryan.

She is further survived by her brother, Riley D. Mathews (wife, Gloria) of Alton, Illinois; sisters, Sharon Cox (husband, Jerry) of Alton, Ilinois, and Geraldine Trimm of Brighton, Illinois; those who called her sister, Tonya Brock- well and Glenda Romine, sister- in-law, Viola Jones and brother- in-law, Gerald Stone; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Honorable mention: those that always stepped in and helped to take care of Rosetta were An- gie Scoggins (niece), Mike Jones (nephew) and neighbors, Shir- ley, Anita, and Tina. The list of those who loved Rosetta (mom) can go on and on because she was just that type of person; people loved and adored her, and would do any- thing for her. The love we have for our sweet mother, granny, sister, and friend is immeasur- able and of course all of our hearts are breaking.

Now, sweet mother, go rest high on that mountain, embrace those that have gone on before you, and be in that receiving line when God calls us home. We all love you dearly.
