Maybe their doctor told them that their high blood pressure and pre-diabetic condition needed addressed immediately or the consequences would be grave. Or maybe just sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. Whatever the motivation, men and women usually arrive at a low point in their lives. Some want to know their body fat and circumference measurements when we take them. Others look at themselves in the mirror.

Still others want to work out at off hours when they and their trainer can basically have the facility to themselves. They often feel a sense of failure because of the way they look. Diets and other fitness programs have failed them, and they resent that. They feel cheated, but often wonder if they deserve any better. Their self-loathing is at an all-time high while their self-esteem is at an all-time low.

Fast forward a couple of months and those folks are nearly unrecognizable inside and out. Body fat has disappeared, blood pressure and triglycerides have plum- meted, energy has but best of all, feelings of self-worth and confidence have reappeared. They are doing exercises they never dreamed they would, and the courage to take on new challenges ripples out into all areas of their lives. Not unlike the clientele served by Mission Granbury. Imagine the woman who has had every bit of confidence and vitality beat out of her by an abusive husband.

She blames herself, she has no energy, she rarely smiles, and she never looks in the mirror. She feels cheated by life, but often wonders if she deserves any better. Her self-loathing is at an all-time high while her self-esteem is at an all- time low. Fast forward a couple of months. After her stay with her children at Mission shelter, she is almost unrecognizable inside and out.

She now looks people in the eye, she pulls her hair out of her face, and she smiles a lot. She and her children are living on their own and she found a job that challenges her to better herself. Her newfound courage ripples out into all areas of her life. In June, Fun Girl Fitness Boot Camps will donate $100 for every new boot camper to Mission Granbury in support of the amazing work they do bettering the lives of so many in our community. Our goal is to raise at least $1500 for this outstanding organization so that they can continue to empower women, men, and children to live a higher quality of life.

Fun Girl Fitness has transformed the lives of countless Granbury women through our extraordinary fitness program and we are committed to sharing our strength with deserving women, men, and children who need a helping hand.
