Spring is here. The sunshine and warmer weather is great, but I could do without the wind and we are much in need of rain. NEW ARRIVAL Kailey Marie Pharris arrived on March 15, weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces. Proud parents are Anthony and Kelly Pharris.

She was welcomed home by big brother Spencer who is 2 years of age. Proud grandparents are Alford and Suzy Spencer and Susan Pharris. Great-grandparents are Sam and Gerri Weldon and Bonnie Jackson. Congratulations on your new arrival. FIELD TRIPS With spring break over, Lipan ISD elementary students and teachers are enjoying some field trips.

On Tuesday, Nancy Holtsford and her first- graders, Jodi Overton and her second- grade class and Cindy Ake and her third- grade students enjoyed a field trip to Amon Carter Museum last Tuesday. Everyone enjoyed the day. On Thursday grades four, five and six also enjoyed a field trip to Amon Carter Museum. Teachers for those grades are Kim Wright, Evella Turner and April Hamby. Theresa Tillery and her kindergarten class attended the Stephen Fite concert in Fort Worth last Thursday.

Several parents enjoyed the trip as well. CONGRATULATIONS Congratulations to Mark and Amanda Millington on the birth of their daughter, Avery Charlene. She arrived on March 9, and weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces. She was welcomed home by big sister Kaylynn, who is 20 months old. Proud grandparents are Rhonda Millington, Don Millington, Ron Jackson and the late Lynn Jackson.

Great-grandparents are Bruce and Sue Southern. HOSPITALIZED Walter Baldree was hospitalized last Monday with heart problems. He was taken by CareFlite from Granbury to Harris Hospital in Fort Worth on Tuesday where he had quadruple bypass surgery. Everyone please keep Walter and his family in your prayers. HAPPY BIRTHDAY We want to wish the following a very happy birthday Zack Nelson, Randy Branson, Dan Chandler, Candy Jackson and Rachel Gilliam.

Obituaries Obituaries James William Weger James William Weger, of Lingleville and formerly of Granbury, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Stephenville. He was 93.

Funeral services were Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Lingleville Baptist Church in Lingleville with Rev. Joel Sanders and Landon Salyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Lowell Cemetery in Erath County. The family received friends Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home. James was born on March 4, 1918 in Colbert, Okla.

to the late Louis and Ena Carter Weger. He married Dortha King on Feb. 17, 1940 in Colbert and she preceded him in death on Jan. 9, 1998. James has resided in Lingleville since 1985 after previously living in Granbury and in Oklahoma.

He worked in construction and was a member of the Lingleville Baptist Church. He is survived by five children, Vera McMahon of Menomonie, James Douglas Weger and wife Peggie of Granbury, Beverly Hudson and husband Truman of Lingleville, Pricilla DuValle and husband Dante of Lingleville, and Angela Turner and husband Milton of Glen Rose; along with many other survivors including 31 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren. Barbara Sue Lovelace Barbara Sue Lovelace, 71, of Granbury, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 21, 2011 surrounded by her husband and children, and now God has received another angel.

Memorial service was Friday at Granbury Church of Christ, 1905 W. Pearl Granbury. Barbara was born June 8, 1939 in Kansas City, the daughter of the late Dr. E.A. and Verna Wilkinson.

On July 30, 1959, she married Bill Lovelace. She attended college at Abilene Christian College, and spent many years working with special needs children in the Vernon ISD. Bill and Barbara lived in Dallas and Vernon before retiring to Granbury. Survivors: her husband, Bill, sons and daughter-in-laws; Danny and Dona Lovelace and Mickey and Kathy Lovelace, and daughter and son-in-law; Missy and Scott Taylor, all who reside in the Fort Worth area. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, three sisters and one brother.

Anna Lisa Marvin Anna Lisa Marvin of San Angelo, 84, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Graveside service was Thursday in Fairmount Cemetery. Survivors include her children, Carol Rogers of Granbury, Vicki Marvin of San Angelo and Victor Marvin of Houston.

Jack R. Goodall Jack R. Goodall of Granbury, 86, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011, in Fort Worth. Memorial service: A private memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Granbury First Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the family home following the service. Mr. Goodall was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Junction, Texas, to Marion Alanzo Goodall and Cleora Richardson Goodall. He married Dolores Duerson, Oct.

20, 1949, in Harlingen, Texas. He had lived in Granbury for the last 16 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Nutcracker Golf Club and Pecan Plantation Golf Club, having served on the board. He was also a board member of International Mohair. He was Control Branch Manager of GMAC for 36 years.

Mr. Goodall served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lt. in infantry during World War II. He was one of the first to be in occupation of Northern Japan.

Survivors: Wife, Dolores Goodall of Granbury; daughter, Shalmir Jean Lukich and husband, Dennis, of McKinney; grandchildren, Jacqueline Hermann of Rock Hill, S.C., Stacy Stiltz and husband, Michael, of Farmersville; great-grandchildren, Shelby Stiltz, Kaylee Stiltz; nephew, Bill Schneider of Midland. Wiley Funeral Home handled arrangements. Philip Weldon Bramlett Philip Weldon Bramlett of Bluff Dale, 63, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011, in Arlington. Funeral was Friday, March 25, 2011, at Bluff Dale Baptist Church. Burial: Glenn Cemetery in Bluff Dale.

Visitation was Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home. Memorials: American Diabetes Association. Mr. Bramlett was born Dec. 17, 1947, in Stephenville, to Henry Weldon Bramlett and Clara Mae McCormick Bramlett.

He married Cindy Bolton, Aug. 24, 1968, in Irving, Texas. Philip graduated from Irving High School in 1966. He was employed by the Fruehauf Trailer Company for 13 years and then became a distribution manager for Verizon Wireless. Philip served in the U.S.

Air Force for four years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman until his illness cut his activities short. He loved his family and friends. Survivors: Wife, Cindy Bramlett of Bluff Dale; daughter, Amber Bramlett of Fort Worth; nephew, Paul Stephens of Irving; aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous additional family and friends. Arrangements were by Wiley Funeral Home.

Anthony Michael Dunn Anthony Michael Dunn of Granbury, 25, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Church of God. Survivors: parents, Murphy and Connie Dunn; brother, Murphy Dunn III; grandmother, Frances Dunn; other aunts, uncles and friends. Arrangements were by Funeral Home.
