Survivors: Wife, Lori Matthews of Granbury; daughters, Jennifer Miller of Granbury, Karen Langridge and husband, Jason of Spring; grandchildren, Rebecca Miller, Tiffany Matthews, Noah Daniel Langridge and Madeline Grace Langridge; stepdaughters, Shannon Dickey of Minnapolis, Nicole Buckley of Dallas, Jamie Smith and husband, Matt of Fort Worth, numerous stepgrand-children; mother, Dorothy Matthews of Granbury; sisters, Doris Blackwell and husband, Roy of Granbury, Donna Matthews and husband, Travis of deCor-dova, Beverly Hall and husband, Larry of Granbury, Brittany Ant-ley and husband, Josh of Tyler; first wife, Sandy Matthews of Sugarland; his special friend and favorite dog, Rosie and many numerous special friends. Shawn "Shorty" Connally Shawn "Shorty" Connally of Buffalo Gap, 35, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009. A memorial service will be held at Parker Funeral Home in Baird at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009. He is survived by a sister Misti and her husband Jesse Davis of Granbury and many others.

Paula de la Cruz Paula de la Cruz, 59, of Big Lake, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009. Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 25, at Asamblea Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus in Big Lake. Service was on Monday, Oct.

Carr passed away in Fort Worth on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009. She was born to the late John and Julia Ann Talley Brown on Feb. 4, 1928 in Goldthwaite. She was a member of the Covington Church of Christ and worked as a clerk in the insurance business for several years.

Jewell was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Acie Charles Carr. Survivors include her life partner and best friend, H.I.
