Underwood, 86, of Cleburne, and mother of the Rev. Bob Underwood of Granbury, was conducted Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008 in the Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne. grams for Lockheed Martin after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Brotherhood of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and a charter member and teacher of the 5050 Sunday school class at Acton United Methodist Church where he also sang in the choir.

He was an amateur artist, painter and photographer and liked electronics and playing golf. He lived in Fort Worth for 16 years before moving to de-Cordova in 1973. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Joneta "Jonnie" Gaffin; children, Teresa Gaffin Hall and husband, Bill, Robbie Gaffin Cook, Brian Owen Gaffin and wife, Kami and Kristi Gaffin Nickel and husband, David; grandchildren, Misty, Ashleigh, David, Tyler, Taylor, Kathryn and Elizabeth; and sister, Gloria Inkman and husband, Dave. Final arrangements by Wiley Funeral Home.

Angelina D'Amico Angelina D'Amico, mother of Marietta Harrell and humor and loved to cook, always making sure everyone who entered her home was well fed. She embraced the Golden Rule and always esteemed others as better than herself. She lived a life of self-sacrifice as she always strived to do the right thing, coming to the aid of those less fortunate than herself. Other survivors are sons, Andrea and Anthony; daughter Nicole; grandson Joey D'Amico, whom she raised as her own son, and wife Amy of Oregon; other grandchildren, Morgan, Lindsey, Jennifer, and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Joey, Caden, Evangeline, Aidan, Camden, and Christian; and sister, Lillian Maz-zola. She had three lifelong best friends, sisters-in-law Angie D'Amico, and Josephine Leonardi, both of whom predeceased her, and Mary Grosso.

On Aug. 18, 2008 she was buried with her husband in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore. A come-and-go Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Peggy Marlene Monk Peggy Marlene Monk, 56, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 in a Stephenville hos Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne.

The Cleburne native passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 in Cleburne. She was born Au gust 27, 1922 to Claude and Olga Daily Smith. She married Herbert Lelan Underwood, Sr. Mrs.

Underwood was a home-maker and a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church. Survivors are three sons, Rev. Bob Underwood and wife Linda, of Granbury, Dan Underwood, of Bedford and Herb Underwood, of Cleburne; brothers, Otho Smith, of Lake Worth and Sam Smith, of Rustin, sisters, Mary Burt and husband, Rev. Dan, of Cleburne and Faye Smith, of Everman; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Herbert Lelan Underwood, Sr.

2, 2008 at Peaceful Garden Cemetery in Wood-row. Jacobs was born Jan. 8, 1958, in Lubbock, to Allen Harvey Jacobs and Evonne Preston Jacobs. He owned the Jacobs Insurance Agency and was a flood adjustor. He had also worked as a DJ in Lubbock and had worked for WBAP radio in Fort Worth.

Survivors are his mother, Evonne Cain and husband, Dar-rell, of Lubbock; father, Allen Jacobs and wife, Ana, of Las Vegas, ex-wife, Joann Jacobs of Granbury; son, Justin Jacobs of Austin; daughters, Mindy Cray of Fort Worth, Becky Jacobs and Christy Held, both of Granbury; two grandchildren; sister, Lisa Jacobs of Lubbock; stepsister, Angela Kimble of Houston; stepbrother, Sean Cain of Owasso, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 8, 2008. Angelina, one of thirteen children, was born Sept. 3, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Alberto and Nicolina Leonardi. On April 29, 1940, she married Anthony "Tony" D'Amico, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2005.

While Tony was a career U.S. Marine serving our great country by fighting on behalf of the United States in WWII and multiple tours in Viet Nam until his retirement as a Sgt Major in 1975, Angelina showed her constant support and patriotism by keeping their home and children with love. 8, 1923, in Tarrant County, to Edward and Georgia Gholson, he married Corrine Ratliff Aug. 24, 1947, in Granbury. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in World Warll. He was a member of the Granbury Church of Christ and the American Legion Post 491.

His wife of 61 years, Corrine Finley; daughter, Carolyn Faye Perdue; granddaughter, Tracy Ann Perdue; three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Survivors sons, Ben Finley of Granbury, David Finley and wife, Manuela, of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, David Houston Finley, Wendy Mendieta; greatgrandchildren, Abbey and Alea Carrillo, Nenezin Martinez and Ariana Carrillo. Final arrangements were by Wiley Funeral Home. Harry Owen Gaffin, Jr. Harry Owen Gaffin, 74, of deCordova, passed away Friday, Aug.

22, 2008 in Granbury. Memorial service was at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2008 at Acton United Methodist Church. Harry was born June 28, 1934 in Carthage, Mo.

Peggy was a long time resident of Lipan where she was the caretaker of the Evergreen Cemetery.
